About Me I can remember the first time someone ever made fun of me for my weight. I was in 4th grade and I was the "fat" kid. Being around 15 pounds overweight, that extra mass was also taxing on my organs. I ended up developing asthma, joint pains, and a myriad of other weight-related health problems; all at the tender age of 10. As you can imagine, I really didn't have many friends. It wasn't until my dad said, "Son, why don't you come hit the weights with me? I think you'll love it", that the thought of exercise even crossed my mind. Over that year, he, along with a lifelong friend of his, helped me get in shape. At the age of 13 I started working on my diet as well as joining my school's soccer team. The best part was that I finally had the confidence to strut around with the team with my shirt off. I know that sounds a little funny but when I was finally seen at a "normal" weight, I felt like I fit in. Then, one late summer evening, my 51 year old father who hadn't been home for two days, was found dead. "It was a heart attack" the officer told me after my mom calmed down. That hit me like a brick wall. Instead of wallowing in my sadness and giving up on the body I worked so hard to achieve, I used this tragedy as a way to push myself. I workout with that mindset to this day. Another year goes by before I seriously start thinking about competing. I pull the trigger and invest in 30 training sessions with a local bodybuilding coach. His name, Abraham Oluwole, one of the finest human beings I know. I'm telling you this man is a genius. He knew exactly what to do to get me contest ready in 12 weeks. Along with being a fantastic coach he has been a great friend and mentor to me and I couldn't thank him enough. My goals and aspirations include getting a personal training certificate, becoming the youngest professional bodybuilder (I'm 15), and one day attend an Ivy League school in hopes of becoming a plastic surgeon. I also want to grow my blog and YouTube channel to bring health and fitness advice to teens around the world.
